The last line of the article also reserves a prohibited-goods test for every parcel, which is the one check applied to all item types without exception.

Opened means four item types, appearance only
Help id 89, operative linesGarments, bags, suitcases and shoes are the opened set. The wording for what gets read is "appearance, likes model, style, and size", and for garments the size reference is the final comment on your order. That makes your remark the measuring stick: write the variant down or the check has nothing to hold the seller to.
The exclusions are published in the same breath: colour difference against your screen, loose threads and other small flaws are named as not covered. Disclaimer 1 goes further and ties findings to the seller's own flaw statement.
So an opened box means a person compared what arrived with what the listing promised, at the level a careful glance can reach. It does not mean a quality grade, and nothing in the text says any item is judged genuine. The pictures are how you do your own judging.
Sealed packs, sealing strips and unremarked giveaways
Help ids 89, 51, 77Anything in a sealed package or carrying sealing strips is handled from the outside: the wrapping is not opened, the check reads outer appearance only. The return article closes the loop: open a "Special Standards" product yourself and it drops out of the 5-day guarantee, so the seal that blocks the check also protects your return right. Seller giveaways ride along unopened too; help id 77 covers them for after-sales only when you remarked the giveaway on the order.
The packing stage drawn above is where sealed goods pass through untouched. If you need evidence of what is under the seal, the free parcel photo at least shows the sealed pack placed in your box before closing.
Electronics get a count, and where results surface

Household appliances, digital goods and other electronics sit between the opened set and the sealed set: the box is opened for an accessories count and a look for physical damage, and help id 76 excludes authenticity, function and quality checks by name. A laptop that powers on was never part of the deal; a laptop with a missing charger is exactly what the count exists to catch.
Results surface in User Center, then Warehouse: each stocked order carries its thumbnails right on the record. That screen is where the 120-hour clock is already running, so the habit worth building is checking the record the day the status flips, not the day the parcel ships.
