The Kakobuy 5-day return window is 120 counted hours

Help id 51 defines the guarantee in hours, not days, and starts the clock at a status flip you might not notice. This page pins down the start, the exclusions, the tariff and the mistakes that end the window early.

Where the 120 hours start

Help id 51, definition lines

The definition is precise: five days means 120 hours, counted from the next full hour after the order status changes to "Stocked in". Not from delivery to you, not from the day you first opened the thumbnails. The scope lookup computes your exact closing hour from a stock-in time.

The list that never qualifies

Help id 51, eligibility table

The same article prints an ineligible list, and most of it is predictable hygiene: custom-made items, undergarments, food, books. Two entries do real work. Items with removed tags, because the tag is the proof the garment never entered a wardrobe. And opened "Special Standards" products, which is the return article enforcing the seal rule from the other side: the warehouse would not open the pack, and neither should you if you want the guarantee alive.

The tariff when a return goes through

Help id 51, service-fee table

Returns inside the window are not unlimited-free. The article publishes a monthly ladder: the first return in a month rides free, then 5, 10 and 20 yuan tiers apply as the count climbs, plus whatever domestic postage the seller does not cover. The note under the table dates the setting to September 20, 2018, which tells you how rarely this tariff moves.

Weigh the ladder against the item price. A 20-yuan tier on a 30-yuan tee is a bad trade; on a mis-sized 400-yuan jacket it is nothing. The fees page puts these numbers next to the other charges around the warehouse stage.

Mistakes that close the window before its hour

Help id 51 + waybill screen

Three ways shoppers end their own guarantee early, all avoidable before you pay or submit. Waiting for tracking: the window runs at the warehouse, so review photos at stock-in, not at delivery. Opening sealed goods on arrival back home changes nothing then, but asking the warehouse to break a seal, or flipping Remove All Tags on the waybill screen, kills eligibility by the article's own list. And an empty Remarks field leaves garment size with no reference, so a wrong size stops being provable.

The storage clock is a different clock

Help ids 1, 120 · read 2026-10-10

Do not confuse the 120-hour guarantee with storage. Help id 1 gives normal parcels 100 days of free storage from "in storage", with a reminder email on day 90; after expiry an extension is priced per order per 30 days, a setting that changed in 2026 from the older 20-yuan-per-100-days rate, per help id 120, both read 2026-10-10. The return window decides whether an item can go back to the seller. The storage window decides how long the warehouse keeps it while you assemble a shipment. One is five days, the other fourteen weeks; plan them separately.

What to do when another item has not arrived

Suppose one order is stocked while another seller has not dispatched. Review the stocked item immediately and note its own return deadline. If a label or visible accessory differs from your order, raise that issue now with the saved specification and relevant picture; do not wait until the haul is complete.

Then make the storage decision separately: wait for the second item, ship the accepted goods, or investigate an applicable storage extension. An extension is a storage service, not a promise that a seller will accept a late return. Keep any tags and protected packaging intact while the return question remains open.

The guarantee is also conditional on eligibility and the seller’s applicable rules. A timestamp within 120 hours is one requirement, not automatic approval. Ask support which next action is required and retain its response with the order record.

The window only protects orders that exist: register, order, and put a reminder on the stock-in day before the clock does it for you.
